(Jenn went sightseeing around Kobe with her American friends, S & J. S is a strict vegetarian girl. J is a meat-loving young man.)

(Jenn was a vegetarian 2 years ago when she stayed at our house, but the day before she left Kobe she made her meat eating debut at a Yaki-Niku resteraunt. With her new understanding of the delicious flavor of meat, our veggie-girl had grown up. Now vegetables, fish, meat, anything is O-K!)

(Here are some of the various things the aformentioned girl bought on her adventure to China Town.)

(After China Town, they went to Harborland. Here is some of the stuff Jenn bought to give to her friends in America: (she was thrilled; "It is so cheap!!")

It was just 10 yen (about 10c) for each!

(There really aren't many strict vegetarians in Japan, are there? It is weird that in America, what could be considered the heartland of the "meat-eating culture," there are so many vegetable-only people.)

(And you know, for the strict vegetarians fish broth is "no," meat extract is also "no." Even eggs are a "NO!")

(But, when I think about Japanese food, I think about all of the different seasonal dishes. It's pretty nice, isn't it? And speaking of food... I have tonight's dinner up!)

(Mushroom yakisoba, seasoned okra, curry chicken sautee, eggplant grilled in oil, and seaweed and sesame salad. It is pretty healthy, huh??)
